Water Maintenance Schedule: Chlorine

Every Three (3) months:

            Drain your spa, clean, and protect the surface with Plexus polish

            Inspect all jets, remove & clean as needed

            Install clean filters, soak 10–12 hours in EZ Filter cleaner & rinse

            Fill spa with water to manufactures recommended level

            Turn on breaker, check pump(s) for air locks

Fresh Fills:

            8 oz Metal X with jets on

            2 to 4 tablespoons of Sani-Spa chlorine

            Test pH and alkalinity using strips

                        Balance water by adding no more than 2 oz of up or down at a time

                        Allow 30 min. intervals between, adjust to 7.4–7.6 and 80–120 ppm

Alternating days per week: Mon-Wed-Fri

            Test the water using strips (check more often if necessary)

            Adjust pH & alkalinity to 7.4–7.6 and 80–120 ppm

            Maintain chlorine level of 3 – 5 ppm

Once per week: Not to be done on same days

            2 oz Metal X with jets on low to mix

            2 oz. Spa Shock, cover off with jets on high for 40 minutes

            1 oz Super Blue water clarifier, jets on high 20 minutes

                        (for best results, pre-dilute product in mixing cup)

After each use:

            Broadcast  +1 tablespoon Sani-Spa per bather

                        (do not exceed 5 tablespoons per day)

Monitor water conditions:

            Cloudy water, increase use of Super Blue to 1oz “twice” per week

            Foaming, use Suds-X to suppress, then remove with Super Blue

First week of each month:

            Remove and rinse filters with hose
