Water Maintenance Guide: Brilliance

Every Three (3) months:

            Drain your spa, clean, and protect the surface with Brilliance Surface Cleaner.

            Inspect all jets, remove & clean as needed.

            Install clean filters, soak 24 hours in Brilliance Filter Cleaner & rinse off.

Fill spa with water; use a prefilter if not on a municipal water source.

            Turn on breaker; once circulating system is running proceed to Step 1.

Fresh Fills:

Step 1             Add 2-4 oz Brilliance Metal & Scale control (Liquid)

                                    Circulate on High for 30 mins. w/ all air off.

Step 2             Add Brilliance Start Up Packet

Step 3             Add 3/4 oz Brilliance Oxidizer

Step 4             Fill floating dispenser with Brilliance Sanitizer & set @ recommended level.

Step 4             If using Mermaid dispenser set to 14 & install per Brilliance Spa Care Guide

Step 5             Once water is warm check using Brilliance Test Strip, and adjust if necessary.  (Your levels when balanced should fall within the following parameters; Sanitizer level:  2-4ppm / pH 7.2-7.8 / Alkalinity 80-120 ppm)  Balanced water is critical to your health and safety as well as the proper functioning of the spa. 

Every Other Day (if used daily):

            Test the water using strips (check more often if necessary)

            Adjust pH & alkalinity to 7.4–7.6 and 80–120 ppm

            Check Brilliance level and adjust dispenser if needed for 2 – 4 ppm reading

Once per week: (not to be done all together)

            1 - 2 oz Metal & Scale Control

            1 - 2 oz. Brilliance Oxidizer, cover off with jets on high for 40 minutes

            1 oz Water Clarifier

Monitor water conditions:

            Cloudy water, increase use of Water Clarifier to 1oz “twice” per week

            Foaming, use Foam disperser to suppress, add Water Wizard if foaming persists.

First week of each month:

            Remove and rinse filters with hose
